Welcome to The Bulls Head

Ideally located along the riverside just a short walk from Barnes Bridge Station we are a true South West London gem. Serving seasonal British food from lunch all the way through to supper and a wide selection of wines, ales, craft beers and delicious Spritz straight from the bar.

Food & Drink

Our flavour-packed, belly-filling menus feature the very best of traditional British pub classics and mouthwatering seasonal specials (all designed to hit the spot), proudly championing British farmers and producers. This autumn, you'll find a variety of home-cooked, hearty British classics, juicy-tender steaks, and delicious specials, all crafted using only the finest seasonal produce (because we believe in keeping it fresh and local).

Enjoy riverside views

With the sun making an appearance, we are the ideal spot to stop off before or after your walk along the river. With divine menus (and dreamy Sunday roasts), refreshing Spritz and wines, and a snug outside garden where you can watch Barnes high street go by, it's truly a great summertime spot!

One of London's oldest Jazz clubs

You heard that right! We have one of London's oldest Jazz clubs, playing live music throughout the week, featuring solo artists and full bands, and the best part? You can enjoy delicious pub grub before the show! Take a look at what we have on below.

Barnes most loved local

Newly refurbished throughout and packed with rich, music-filled history (seriously, there’s nothing else quite like it), our pub is one-of-a-kind. Nestled at the top of Barnes High Street, right along the Thames, our stunning pub is effortlessly stylish with an array of picture-perfect spaces to book, including the breath-taking Melrose Room, which overlooks the river (it’s as stunning as it sounds).

Our menu is a mouthwatering blend of creative, flavour-packed seasonal dishes and comforting, traditional pub favourites, all made using the finest, freshest British ingredients (handpicked at the peak of perfection from the abundant larder of the British Isles). At the bar, you’ll find a stellar selection of perfectly-kept cask ales, craft beers, and refreshing summer Spritz, plus an extensive wine list sure to delight even the most discerning of palates (because we know a good drink matters).

Karolina and the team cannot wait to welcome you.

British and seasonal pub food

Our kitchen team work especially hard to serve you dishes that taste of British seasonality! Using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients to build our menu, meaning all of our specials are bursting with flavour. Looking for a British classic? We have taken our time to master the classics (think crispy fish and chips with Curry sauce, excellent-quality burgers or Scrumptious Sunday roasts), so you can sit back with a pint of whatever you fancy, relax, and eat delicious pub food in our gorgeous pub.

Weddings with a riverside view

Nestled along the River Thames and only moments from Barnes Village, we offer a timeless setting for the beginning of your forever. Our recently renovated private room features stunning riverside views, high ceilings, and classic décor, creating the perfect backdrop for your celebration.

Whether you choose an À La Carte experience or a bespoke buffet, complemented by flowing bubbles,  let us be your riverside wedding venue.
